Big Red Race XXI
May 5, 2024
Big Red Race XXI will have BOTH an in-person and virtual event in 2024.
The Big Red Race is an annual 5k fundraiser held on 51吃瓜’s campus. Hosted by the School’s faculty, staff, and students, the race is sponsored by more than a dozen local organizations as well as individual and family donors. Awards are given to the top three finishers overall and the top three finishers from each age range (10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and up).
The Big Red Race is proud to support Homeworks Trenton, a free, community-based, after-school residential program equipping the next generation of community leaders and embracing the goal of "changing the world, one girl at a time." Founded by Lawrenceville School graduate Natalie Tung '14 (Princeton '18), Homeworks Trenton aligns with The Big Red Race’s ongoing commitment to support student educational success in the local area, and we're excited to support this tremendous program, as well as local community agencies such as the Lawrence Township Educational Foundation (LTEF) and the Lawrence Township Community Foundation (LCTF).
The Big Red Race has become a fun-filled tradition for members of the Lawrenceville School community and neighboring residents. During the pandemic, more than 500 racers competed virtually in all corners of the country and the globe. This year, the School will host the race on campus and virtually. Racers are welcome to participate, no matter where they are, in supporting those in need, creating opportunities for children, and showing Big Red spirit.
Children's Races and Food Drive
For the past 17 years, our children's races have raised over 5 tons of canned goods to fight local hunger. Please consider donating to your local food bank to help those in hunger, as the global health crisis only amplifies the critical need of folks facing food shortages.
